 Excerpt from Wharf Side Chronicles:  Later in the afternoon when Sam had had enough of steering, I watched him moving along the deck and sitting far forward on the boat, sitting on the pulpit. He sat there for a very long time while spray from the bow and the drizzle soaked his clothes. Concerned, I slipped on the autopilot and sat with him. I asked him if he would like some company for while. He nodded yes.  As I sat down I could see a large tear rolling down his cheek."
